Laura has dedicated more than 15 years to supporting students in both secondary and postsecondary education. Her career has included teaching high school English in Charlotte, North Carolina, working in undergraduate admissions at Transylvania University, and serving as both an advisor and instructor at the University of Kentucky.

Since joining Lexington Catholic in 2021 as a school counselor, Laura has enjoyed building meaningful relationships with students, especially upperclassmen, as they navigate their academic and career goals. Her favorite aspect of counseling is helping students through the college search and application process. Over the past five years, she has visited numerous college campuses and cultivated strong relationships with college admissions professionals, allowing her to better guide students and families through this exciting journey.

Laura and her husband, Jay, have two children. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, reading, and practicing yoga.
