Norman Fischer, Beloved Priest, Chaplin, and Friend, Passes Away

Dear Lexington Catholic Community,

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Father Norman Fischer. His presence, guidance, and unwavering faith have touched countless lives within our community. We know this loss is deeply felt by all.

In this time of grief, we want to ensure that everyone has the support they need. We will have counselors and religious available on the Lexington Catholic Campus tomorrow, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 11:30, for those who would like to talk. Following this, we will gather for the Rosary in the Lundergan Student Commons at 11:45 a.m. Please use entrance 'F’ at the rear of the building.

Father Norman always reminded us to give the glory to God, even in times of sorrow. As we come together to remember and honor him, let us do so with hearts full of gratitude for the time we shared with him and the lessons he imparted.

We encourage you to come together, share your memories, and support one another as we navigate through this difficult time. Father Norman's legacy of compassion, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire us all.

Please take care of yourselves and each other.

With deepest sympathy,

The Lexington Catholic Administration, Faculty, and Staff

“Eternal rest grant unto him and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”
