The Catholic Educator Family Scholarship Application for the 2026-27 School Year

For Incoming 9th Graders
For students with one or more parents teaching in a PK–8 Catholic School

Purpose

The Catholic Educator Family Scholarship is a renewable, need-based scholarship designed to support incoming 9th-grade students whose families are actively serving the mission of Catholic education through full-time teaching in Catholic Preschool–8th-grade schools.

This scholarship honors the vocation, sacrifice, and lasting impact of Catholic educators while investing in students formed by faith, service, and academic commitment.

Award Details

· 85% of the appropriate tuition rate

· Renewable for all four years of high school

· Renewal contingent upon continued eligibility requirements

Eligibility Criteria

· Be an incoming 9th-grade student accepted to Lexington Catholic High School

· Be the child of one or more full-time teachers at a Catholic Preschool–8th grade school

· Demonstrate verified financial need

· Have a teaching parent contributing 50% or more of the household income

Application Requirements:

· Completed FACTS Grant & Aid application by April 15, 2026, to verify financial need

· Letter from employer/principal verifying:

· Full-time teaching status

· Grade level and/or subject taught

· Length of service

· Two short essays:

· Student Essay: Why the student wishes to attend Lexington Catholic and how the scholarship will impact their future

· Parent Essay: Commitment to Catholic education and how the scholarship would benefit their family

· Authorization for Lexington Catholic to verify academic and behavior records

Continued Eligibility

· Maintain an average to above-average GPA

· Maintain a positive behavior record

· Continue to demonstrate financial need through the FACTS Grant & Aid process

· Remain enrolled at Lexington Catholic High School

Additional Information

· Applicants may be Catholic or non-Catholic; however, the parent must be employed at a Catholic school

· Only families with a parent serving as a full-time teacher are eligible; other school staff or non-teaching roles are not eligible for this scholarship

· Application Deadline: April 30, 2026
