Bio


David Wu is a native Virginian of Taiwanese descent. He came to Lexington, KY in 1995 to pursue a Masters of Divinity at Lexington Theological Seminary. He served as the Social Justice Advocate Intern in the Christian Church in KY from 1995-1998. His work involved facilitating interracial dialogue groups and preaching on topics related to peace, justice and racism. In 1996 David was called to be a part of the Steering Committee for the Process of Discerning Racism in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). This was a 3 year process for the denomination. After serving several churches and substitute teaching in Lexington he was hired at Lexington Catholic High School to teach World Religion in 2001. David currently teaches Computer Applications, Digital Media and an Introduction to Christianity and American Culture class for our new international students. He founded the ultimate frisbee team, the disc golf team and has served as Head of the House System prior being called to the position of Director of Equity and Inclusion.
