Many parents of Lexington Catholic students are looking for ways to get involved to help make our school the best it can be for our children and for all members of the Lexington Catholic Community. PAC has been formed as a way for parents to get involved through volunteer time, and by using member dues and contributions to help fund specific school programs, including:
Hospitality - Parent volunteers host numerous receptions and key events including new student orientation, surprise breakfasts for the faculty and staff, teacher appreciation celebrations, and more.
Academic Boosters - PAC supports the academic induction ceremonies and several special events, including the annual end-of-year academic awards dinner and the annual Performing and Visual Arts College Fair.
Drug Testing - Through random drug testing, funded by PAC, we support the efforts of the LCHS Administration to educate our children in a safe, drug-free environment.
High Marks - A free, in-school tutoring program for any student in need of additional academic support. Through this program, students have access to teachers in a variety of subject areas who can help them achieve their academic goals. In addition to being supported through external fundraising, resources and support for this very valuable program are supplemented by PAC.
Used Uniform Sale - PAC collects used uniforms at the end of each school year. The uniforms are sorted for a one day sale in the summer and on start-up day. All proceeds go to help fund PAC activities across LCHS.
The Spiritual Life Boosters - Parents who want to volunteer their time, treasure, and prayer in support of the LC Spiritual Life office and all LC students, faculty, staff and administration. Some of their activities include decorating lockers and praying for all new students, providing snacks for Spiritual Life activities, writing notes of support to LC faculty and staff, praying for students during winter and spring finals and facilitating a Parent Fellowship Group that meets twice a month.
Incoming Parent Outreach - PAC members serve as a mentoring resource for parents who are new to the LCHS community by welcoming parents and answering questions.
Coffee with the President and Principal - This event gives parents an opportunity to have their questions answered by our president and principal in a relaxed setting.
