Every student-athlete MUST turn in a physical by JANUARY 16, 2017. Student athletes who turned in a physical for another sport for the year of 2016-2017 DOES NOT need to turn another one in. Physicals for last spring are invalid.

The off-season is CRUCIAL to success during the season. We must prepare ourselves the best we can for the season. EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE OFF-SEASON TRAINING PREVENTS IN-SEASON INJURIES! Athletes must shoe up to practice with: HATS, GLOVES, and WARM CLOTHING & RUNNING SHOES. NIKE FREE TRAINERS ARE NOT RUNNING SHOES!
$350/Athlete Fee can be turned in starting December 19th, 2016.Checks must be made to LCHS with “Track and Field” in the memo. This money will go towards LCA track rental, assistant coach stipends, buses, meet entries and team equipment. Scholarships and payment plans are available. We will not turn away any athletes due to finances.
It is encouraged for ALL Track and Field athletes who are not competing in winter sports to participate in Indoor Track and Field.

Jan.28 UK High School Invitational
Feb. 18 UK National Invitational (Qualifying Times and Heights)
Mar.4 Indoor Championship (Athletes up to 400m and Field Athletes)
Track and field is a sport that is based on the skills of running, jumping and throwing. The season will run from Early March to Late May. We will practice four days a week. The first outdoor practice will be held in in Early February 2017 at LCA during the times of 5pm-7pm!
Attendance: It is mandatory! It is understood that some student-athletes are playing another sport (club soccer) during this time. Parents please communicate with the Head Coach and the Event Coach about missed practice. Our time together is crucial for success during Regions and State. Relay teams depend on chemistry.
