Coaching Staff

Head Coach Michael Menifee
I went to Danville High School where I played basketball and baseball.  Played on the 1990 Sweet 16 team and the 1989 12th Region Champion baseball team. I went to the University of Kentucky and received a Degree in Economics. 
 
Before I started my coaching career, I worked in the Banking Industry for 20yrs mostly in Management. I started coaching in the Dixie Youth basketball league, which lead to me being a Boys Asst. Coach at Sayre, LCA, and Lafayette. I founded the Lexington Future AAU for both basketball and baseball. In basketball the Future won several tournaments and a National Championship. 
 
I have held Head Coaching Position for girls basketball at Danville High School, while at Danville we won All A 12th Region two times and was 45th District Runner Up. Lexington Christian Academy while at LCA won the All  A 11th Region and most recently coached at Nelson Co while at Nelson Co was 19th District Runner up and 5th Region runner up.  
 
I have been blessed to coach several players on both the boys and girls that have been Mr. Basketball, All State, Ky All Stars, and played at the collegiate level. 
 
I will be joined at Lexington Catholic with my family wife Jessica , daughter Alexis granddaughter Dakota and son Landon.

Tony Talbott: Girls Assistant Coach 

Coach Talbott is entering his 20th season with Tony Talbottthe Lexington Catholic Lady Knights. He has helped lead the Lady Knights to four State Championships (1999, 2000, 2005, 2006), two State-Runner-up finishes (2003, 2004) and seven Regional Championships (1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006).

 

Tony and his wife, Monica, have been married for 35 years and have three children: Sara, William, and Michael.

 

 

 

 

Tommy Owsley: Varsity Assistant & Head Junior Varsity Coach

Coach Owsley is entering his 2nd year at Lexington Catholic and 9th year coaching girls’ basketball in Kentucky. He previously spent time being the Associate Head Coach at LCA, Danville, and Nelson County. Coach Owsley played college basketball at Berea College and is in the Berea College Hall of Fame. He brings a lot of basketball knowledge to the coaching staff. Coach Owsley will serve as the Junior Varsity Head Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach.

Assistant Coach Tribble
Coach Tribble has been coaching for 26 years and has been blessed to coach on nearly all levels for both girls and boys. Most recently I retired as the Head Coach of Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg Womens Basketball program where I was coach of the year in 2023 and won conference championship in 2022 and appeared in 3 National Tournaments and 5 Conference Championships. Prior to coaching in college, I was on staff at Dunbar High School, Model High School, Southern Middle School and successfully ran the Lexington Celtics and Richmond Stars AAU programs.
I have been married for 25 years to Monica Tribble and have two great kids who love athletics, Brian Tribble Jr. and Breane Tribble.
