Matt Cervoni Return Home to Lead Boys' Lacrosse Program

Lexington Catholic High School is pleased to announce the return of Matt Cervoni, an accomplished lacrosse coach and former player, to the school's coaching staff. With an impressive track record spanning seven seasons in Kentucky, Coach Cervoni brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role as the Boys’ Lacrosse Head Coach.

During his coaching career, Matt Cervoni has held several significant positions, including Defensive Coordinator at both Lexington Catholic and Frederick Douglass High Schools. He has also worked with various age groups for the Commonwealth Kings travel lacrosse club. Coach Cervoni's coaching prowess has led his teams to four state championship games, showcasing his ability to develop and lead competitive lacrosse programs. His dedication and coaching acumen have contributed to six goalies earning prestigious All-State awards in Kentucky.

Matt Cervoni's deep-rooted connection to Lexington Catholic extends beyond his coaching career. As a former student-athlete, he served as the goalie and was a three-year captain for the Knights. Notably, he played a pivotal role in securing Lexington Catholic's first-ever lacrosse State Championship in 2014.

Beyond the lacrosse field, Matt Cervoni is a multifaceted individual. He currently serves as the CEO and founder of Real Books CPA, PLLC, a virtual advisory firm specializing in serving real estate investors and service professionals. Additionally, he holds the position of Chairman of the Board for The David A Cervoni Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to advancing the sport of lacrosse in Lexington, KY. One of the foundation's key initiatives is the construction of an indoor lacrosse facility, which aims to foster the growth and development of lacrosse in the region.

Coach Cervoni's return to Lexington Catholic is met with enthusiasm from both the team and parents. His extensive experience, leadership, and passion for the sport make him a valuable addition to the coaching staff, and the school eagerly anticipates the positive impact he will have on the lacrosse program.
