uKnight to Serve Challenge

The mission of serving others is what makes the Lexington Catholic High School community unique.bishop

As a non-profit 501-c3 organization, our school must raise the necessary resources to continue providing a high-quality educational experience. A long-standing tradition that has generated positive community spirit and a significant source of funding for our school was our Hoagie sales event. Donations to the uKnight Fund will have a direct impact by supporting our Spiritual life department, High Marks program, materials, and over 250 students that receive tuition assistance.

Additionally, this challenge will give back 5% of all donations during this period to the Catholic Action Center.

Please join us in support of our uKnight Fund and help us advance the mission of Lexington Catholic.

Frequently Asked Questions

The purpose of the uKnight to Serve 8-week challenge is to raise funds previously generated through Hoagie Sales while offering fun incentives. Live or virtual, every student, faculty, staff, and alumni participant will be eligible for giveaways throughout the challenge.

We are asking for 100% participation in our school community: live or virtual. Individual participation will be a gift of $20 or more (balancing previous participation of selling 5 Hoagies).  The same school-wide participation incentive of receiving the day off before Thanksgiving applies.

Details on the importance of these donations, what they support, along with incentives are being distributed this week and will be available on our website and in the front office through October 30.

In recognition of our service to others and previous Hoagie donations, the school will give 5% of all gifts made during the challenge period to the Catholic Action Center.

To be sure questions are answered, there are a few noted below that might help:

We usually give to the uKnight Fund, is this separate?

Previous Hoagie Sales revenue and gifts to the uKnight Fund both contribute to our overall school budget. These are now a combined goal representing over 15% of our total budget. These donations are necessary for funding of tuition assistance and other school operations.

I usually donate to the uKnight fund with stock in December, can my student still get credit if I do this later in the year.

Yes. All donations pledged or received in this time will be credited to a student or team as requested.

If I donate on the team challenge page, how does my student get credit for incentives?

If your donations are made on the Class team challenge link, in the comment field please note: In support of student name, or alumni, faculty, staff team member.

If my aunt sends a check in the mail, will this count to the class team?

Any gift with a memo or note designating the team/student will be counted. Participation is counted for bringing in a gift of $20 or more.

For alumni or families that would like to contribute through monthly ACH, stock, or by making a pledge paid through June 30, 2021, you can do so by sending an email to the Advancement Office ( and we will add these into the Challenge platform totals.

Thank you for your support of Lexington Catholic.  If you have any additional questions, let us know.
