Service Club

We are the largest and most active student club at Lexington Catholic with over 550 members.  In In the past three years club members have served over 80,000 hours with over 60 charitable organizations in the community.  Students also gave their time to our partner schools and their parishes.  In its second year, the club was the recipient of the AFP and UK's Outstanding Philanthropy Award for its work.  The club was also recognized by Mayor Jim Gray and the Lexington City Council which presented them with the Henry Clay Ambassador Award.

We are students of Lexington Catholic High School eager to respond to Christ’s call as commanded in Matthew 25:34-40:

‘I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.’

What we do
We initiate and execute weekly, monthly, and annual service, activities (i.e. Backpack Buddies Program-pack food bags for needy middle school children, meals for the Catholic Action Center, Charity Walks, Student Hoagie Day Table, Church events, Partner school events and projects, etc.).
We sponsor Lexington Catholic’s four school-wide service events and projects (DanceBlue, Bowling with Buddies, Canned Food Drive, and St. Vincent Mission Christmas Drive).
We partner with other Lexington Catholic clubs and assist them in their service efforts (Culinary Club, Art Club, Environmental Club, Spanish Club, etc).
We are a service bank dedicated to assisting LCHS students as they seek to respond to Christ’s call to serve. We are here to support and facilitate, small and large, every student’s passion for service outreach.
