About our Program

 

MISSION
The High Marks Program serves as an integral part of the educational mission of the Catholic Diocese of Lexington and Lexington Catholic High School to support academic success for all students.

VISION
The High Marks Program strives to meet the diverse learning needs of our community. We believe both typical learners and those with learning differences can achieve their academic potential through enriched and individualized academic support.
Students graduate with an understanding of their own learning needs and the self-advocacy skills needed to enter a post-secondary education with confidence.

High Marks Center serves as a space for:
•Small group instruction
•Accommodation for qualified students
•Tutoring before, during, and after school
•Instruction in study skills and self-advocacy

 

IN-SCHOOL
• Free, in-school academic support available to all students
• Staffed by faculty members from a variety of disciplines
• Academic accommodations for qualified students including extended time for assessments and audio assistive technology

AFTER SCHOOL
• High Marks Staff are available after school until 3:15 p.m.
• Testing accommodations are provided Monday - Friday as needed
• Tutoring is available to all students to complete homework in a group or individual setting

 

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
• More than 90% of students visited High Marks during the last school year
• Students spend more than 24,000 in a typical school year
• High Marks benefits hundreds of students across the entire spectrum of academic abilities
