Fischer Scholars Supplemental Tuition Assistance Application

Making Education Accessible

fAt Lexington Catholic, we believe every student deserves access to an exceptional education rooted in faith, knowledge, and service. The Fischer Scholars initiative was created to make this belief a reality by offering financial support to families who may need assistance above and beyond what Lexington Catholic can typically provide. Our tuition assistance programs are funded by, generous donations, grants, and the Fischer Scholars Fund. These resources ensure that deserving students have access to the outstanding academic and spiritual programs that define Lexington Catholic.

The Fischer Scholars initiative is made possible by many generous contributions to the Father Norman Fischer Fund, the Tibbs Fund, and the Rudd Grant, which prioritize support to families with the greatest verified financial need and underserved populations. It represents a commitment to equity and opportunity, creating pathways for students to thrive academically and spiritually.

Father Norman Fischer believed that education should be accessible to all, and this fund upholds his vision by opening doors for future generations. By applying for Fischer Scholars assistance, your family is taking the first step toward a transformative Catholic education that nurtures both mind and spirit.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you on this journey and look forward to helping make your child’s education at Lexington Catholic a reality.

Tuition Assistance Philosophy and FAQ'S

Lexington Catholic High School believes that all parents, regardless of marital status, share responsibility for contributing to their student’s education. The school cannot honor agreements where one parent disclaims financial responsibility for tuition. Therefore, both biological parents and their current spouses are required to provide financial information annually, even if legal agreements suggest otherwise.

To ensure fairness in awarding tuition assistance, the school reserves the right to contact parents directly to clarify non-disclosure or unwillingness to contribute. Additional documentation may be requested, and under exceptional circumstances, certain requirements may be waived.

When reviewing applications, the school considers the assets of remarried parents and evaluates a stepparent’s financial obligations to their own biological children. If full financial information is not available, the school may make an estimate of resources, which could result in reduced or denied awards.

School Confidentiality

Lexington Catholic High School maintains strict confidentiality regarding all tuition assistance applications and awards. Financial information provided by families is only accessible to individuals directly involved in the process, such as the executive team and designated Business Office staff. Faculty, students, and other staff members are not informed of tuition assistance decisions.

Families are also expected to maintain confidentiality regarding their awards. Sharing details about tuition assistance can lead to misunderstandings and false assumptions. Breaches of confidentiality may result in a review or revocation of financial aid.

Parent Confidentiality

Each family’s financial situation is unique, and tuition assistance awards are based on individualized evaluations. To preserve fairness and transparency, we ask families not to share information about their awards with others. This helps to prevent unrealistic expectations and misinterpretations. Violations of this confidentiality policy may result in a reevaluation of tuition assistance.

Tuition assistance awards are determined on an individual basis. Please refer to the tuition assistance scale for detailed information on the range of awards available. Financial aid is applied to tuition only and does not cover fees, extracurricular activities, fundraising obligations, uniforms, lunches, or similar expenses.
To allocate resources effectively and fairly, Lexington Catholic uses FACTS, a third-party tuition management and assessment program. FACTS provides an objective analysis of financial need, ensuring equitable distribution of funds while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality. Families are encouraged to provide accurate and complete financial information to ensure thorough and fair evaluations. FACTS also verifies financial need.

Families can apply for tuition assistance by accessing the FACTS application through the school website. All financial information must be submitted through the secure server. A non-refundable application fee, payable to FACTS, is required for processing. Tuition assistance is awarded annually. Families must reapply each year through FACTS by April 15 to allow the administration sufficient time to review applications and make recommendations for the following school year.
