Boyd is the president of Fasig Tipton Company, Inc., the oldest thoroughbred auction company in North America. He is beginning his eighth year on the Board of Trustees and is a member of the Advancement Committee. Boyd is also involved as a board member of The Race for Education & Blue Horse Charities. He and his wife, Tracy, have four daughters: Brittany, a 2004 graduate of LCHS; Megan, a 2006 graduate; Paige, a 2009 graduate and Bailey, a freshman at LCHS.
James F.Conneely is currently the Associate Provost & Vice President for Student Affairs at Eastern Kentucky University. In addition to Dr. Conneely’s administrative experience, he also holds an appointment as an Associate Professor in Higher Education at Eastern Kentucky University. He has had the honor to serve his colleagues in various positions through the Southern Association for College Student Affairs, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, and the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International. Degrees: B.A. - St. Bonaventure University, M.S. in Ed. - Alfred University, Ph.D. - Georgia State University, Certificates - Institute for Educational Management and the Management Development Program, Harvard University; CASE, Dartmouth University, Summer Institute in Educational Fundraising. This is his sixth year on the Board where he serves as Chairman. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Bluegrass.
John is a native Lexingtonian and 1981 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BA in Art Studio. He started Thorough-Graphic Signs, Inc. in 1982 and currently serves as president.
John is a past board member of: Delta Tau Delta Fraternity Alumni Association, the Living Arts and Science Center, Lexington Polo Club, Lexington Rotary Club, Lexington Rotary Endowment, Eastern Little League and served as president of the Lexington Catholic Parent Organization in 2005 and 2006. He currently chairs the LCHS Communications Committee.
John is married to the former Ann Kersey (since 1982) and they have three children, Abby, LCHS class of 2014, John F., LCHS class of 2006, and Collin who passed away in 2008. They are members at the Cathedral of Christ the King.
Terry was honored to be on the selection committee for the new President of LCHS, has served 2 years on the LCHS Communications Committee as well as the Life Teen committee. She currently is the Director of Community Partners at the Child Care Council of Kentucky. She is a three time past President of the Lexington Dream Factory organization where she has served on the board for 16 years. She also serves on the Bluegrass Tomorrow Board, original member of the 211 United Way Committee, previous National City Bank chairperson for Lex Arts campaign, active in Pax Christi Catholic Church and is a returning member and past Chair of Commerce Lexington Leadership Steering Committee. She is married to Tom DeLuca, her husband of soon to be 25 years and they have 2 sons – Michael, a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School, and a current CPA with Ernest & Young in Atlanta, GA, and Daniel, who is a junior at Lexington Catholic High School.
Terry enjoys networking, golf, taking walks with the family dog “Dudley” and reading “People” magazine in her spare time.
Darren Duzyk was appointed to the Board in 2009. He is a native of Mt.Sterling and a graduate of the University of Richmond School of Business and the University of Richmond School of Law. After practicing law in Virginia,
he returned to Lexington in 1998. His practice focuses exclusively on providing consulting and legal services in the areas of construction, engineering and architecture. Mr. Duzyk is also an adjunct faculty member in
the University of Kentucky College of Engineering and teaches masters and doctorate candidates. He is a past member or current member and officer of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Inc., the Lexington Public Library, Traditional Bancorp and Camp Horsin' Around. He has been married to the former Amy E. Walker since 1997 and they have two sons, Connor and Cooper.
John Hinkel and his wife, Monica (Bryant) Hinkel are 1973 Lexington Catholic graduates. They have four children, each graduates of Lexington Catholic. The Hinkels are members of Christ the King Cathedral. John is an attorney in Lexington, a member in Fowler Measle & Bell, PLLC.
Joseph M. Hood is serving his first term on the Board. An Ashland native and graduate of Holy Family High School there, he was appointed a United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Kentucky on April 30, 1990 by President George Bush. He became the Chief Judge of the District on May 2, 2005, holding that position until he took Senior Status on October 14, 2007. He received the Kentucky Bar Association’s Outstanding Judge Award in 1999 and the University of Kentucky College of Law Alumni Association’s Professional Achievement Award in 2009.
He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and its College of Law. Prior to entering law school, he served four years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Captain. His service included a year in Vietnam as an infantry company commander. While in the military, he completed Airborne, Ranger and Special Forces training and was awarded various decorations including the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Bronze Star Medal with “V” Device and 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with “V” Device and Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Purple Heart.
A Lexington resident since 1993, he attends the Cathedral of Christ the King where he is a Lector, Sacristan, and Eucharistic Minister. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Christian Appalachian Project, the Board of Directors of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, the Board of Visitors at Salmon Chase College of Law, the Board of Directors of the Federal Judges’Association, and the Board of Trustees at Alice Lloyd College. He currently serves on the Financial Disclosure Committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States and as a member of the Board of Managers of the Diederich Educational Trust.
He has been married to the former Carol Ann Stowe, who was a substitute teacher at Lexington Catholic for many years, since 1970. They have two adult children, one of whom, Betsy, is a Lexington Catholic graduate.
A 38-year Lexington resident, Steve is the President/Owner of APEX Realty, a multi-service, commercial real estate company. This is his ninth year on the Board of Trustees and he serves as Chairman of the Facilities Committee and as a member of the Kampsen Fund Committee. He has also been actively involved with his parish, Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary, Central Kentucky YMCA, and with Junior Achievement. He and his wife, Debra, have three children: daughter, Ashton, a 2007 LCHS graduate and a Centre College graduate; son, Benton, is a 2010 LCHS graduate and a sophomore at The University of Kentucky; and daughter, Merrick, is a senior at LCHS.
Jeri is a native of Lexington and a graduate of Lexington Catholic (1975). She has three children who have/will graduate from Lexington Catholic - Erin (2003), Rob (2008), and Jeff (2012). She is an active member of Mary Queen Parish. Jeri is VP of Human Resources at Lexmark. She has also been VP of Finance and the US Controller at Lexmark where she has been employed for 20 years. Jeri is a CPA. She serves on the Board of Commerce Lexington and is the incoming Chairperson, the Lexington Metro YMCA HR Committee, the Catholic Diocese of Lexington Finance Council. She also serves on the National GEM Consortium Board of Directors and on the Executive Board as the Chair of Human Resources Committee.
Clarke Keller is serving his fourth year on the Board. Clarke is an attorney at Stites & Harbison, PLLC, where he has practiced law since 1984 and been a partner since 1990. His previous civic involvement includes board membership of Eastern Little League, First-Link, Lexington Diocese Board of Catholic Education Finance Committee, and Notre Dame Alumni Club of Central Kentucky. After college and prior to law school, Clarke was a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Air Force and Kentucky National Guard. He is active in Christ the King parish, where he serves as a lector and member of the Faith Formation Committee and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Clarke and his wife Lissa have two children: their daughter Mackenzie is a 2007 LCHS graduate, and their son Patrick is a senior at LCHS this year.
Stephanie has been a Lexington Catholic Board of Trustee member since 2002. She served as Vice Chair 2006-2007 and then Chairperson for 2007-2009 . She currently Chairs the Advancement Committee and sits on the Executive Committee. She is employed with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as 2nd Vice President-Financial Advisor - Wealth Management, providing investment and wealth planning services. Stephanie and her husband Joe are active members of St. Paul Parish where she serves as Eucharistic minister and lector. They have two sons, Joseph H. Nallia III ’03, who resides in Los Angeles, CA and Miles Harris Nallia ’08, a student at the University of Kentucky. Stephanie is a member of Lexington Forum, serves on the Leadership Lexington Alumni Committee , is the Personnel Chair on the Board of the Bluegrass Rape Crisis Center and is a Board Member of the American Red Cross. She was the finance chair of St. Paul and sat on the Formation committee, and for 7 years taught CCD and Sacramental prep to 2nd graders. For the Diocese of Lexington, she sat on the finance council for many years and the Diocesan Strategic Planning Committee.
Nick is a native of
Stephen Scott is a 1980 graduate of Lexington Catholic, and is one of five siblings who graduated from LCH. He is married to Kim Patterson Scott. Their two children, Anna Gayle and Janey, both attend LCH, along with their nephew Austin Patterson. Stephen has been actively involved in Catholic Education in his volunteer work. Prior to joining the LCH board he served on the Finance Committee. He has also been active at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish, serving on the Building and Fundraising Committees for the New School Building, as well as a three year term on the School Board, and the Principal Search Committee. Stephen is a registered professional engineer, whose practice focused on geotechnical and environmental engineering. His professional volunteer interests centered on mathematics. Stephen has been active in the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers’ MathCounts Program. MathCounts is a middle school based math program designed to interest and accelerate math skills.
Joe is a 1972 graduate of Lexington Catholic, and he and his wife, Sharon, have three children: DeLloyd (97), Joseph (99), and Sharai (01) - all graduates of Lexington Catholic. They are members of
Dr. Carol Steltenkamp is a practicing physician and Chief Medical Information Officer at the University of Kentucky. She and her husband, Dr. Jack Jansen have three sons Michael (LCHS ’09), Andrew (’12) and Jacob (’15). Carol is an active member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton parish and was Chair of the Steering Committee to build Seton Catholic School. She currently serves on the boards of regional and national non-profit organizations.
Ben M Streepey is a Vice President and General Manager at Lexmark International. He is currently serving as chairman of the Technology Committee. He had previously been vice chair of the Finance Committee and participated in the Advancement Committee. He is a product of Catholic education and is a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes and Trinity High School in Louisville. He has resided in Lexington the last 30 years and is an active member of Christ the King, where he served as a co-chair of the Oktoberfest Raffle, and along with his wife Judi chaired the United in Faith campaign at Christ the King to build Seton Catholic School. He has served on the Board of Directors of Robinson Nugent and is currently on the Finance Committee of Saint Joseph HealthCare, the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville Engineering School boards. Ben and Judi, also serving on the Technology Committee, have two children, Sarah and Benjamin.
Mark is a 1987 graduate of Lexington Catholic. He subsequently graduated from Clemson University with a B. A. in English. Mark currently is co-owner of Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, Kentucky with his brothers Duncan, Ben and Frank who are also Lexington Catholic alumni. Mark and his wife Julia have two children, Walker (born 2000) and Josh (born 2003).
Mike Towles attended St. Paul's School and graduated from Lexington Catholic in 1987 and the University of KY in 1991. He is a native Lexingtonian. Mike currently serves as the Vice-President and has a vested ownership in
Tri-State Roofing and Sheet Metal Company.
Mike and his wife Mindy have two sons. William - age 12 attends Christ the King and Coleton - age 15 attends Lexington Catholic. Mike serves on the Christ the King and Lexington Catholic Property Committees. As a
parishioner, he has participated in Christ the King's capital campaign and chaired various Oktoberfest committees. For the past thirteen years he has also served on the board of M.A.S.H. Services of the Bluegrass (a non-profit agency serving homeless and run-away teens) and served 2 years as the chairman. Mike is also a member of several business organizations, including the Bluegrass Chapter of the International Facility Management Association and the Kentucky Roofing Contractors Association (KRCA).
Don is serving his second term. He is a member of Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Church. Don's wife Patti is an alum of Lexington Catholic ('80) as are his son Glenn ('03) and daughter Amanda ('06). He was past co-Chair of the Lady Knights soccer team ('05). He currently serves on the Communications Committee and the Athletic Subcommittee.
Ann is the faculty representative on the Board of Trustees this year. She was voted onto the Board by the LCHS faculty at the beginning of the school year. She serves as a voice for the teacher and the campus community. Ann sits on the School Life Committee and the Athletic Oversight Committee.
George Ward and his wife Lorie have 6 children, all receiving a Lexington Catholic Education -Elizabeth Lovejoy (’06), Alex Ward (’06), Linsey Ward (’08), Emily Lovejoy (’09), Nic Ward (’10), and Madi Ward (’12). George is currently the Executive Director of the UK Coldstream Research Campus. He also works with start-up biotech companies, spent four years in state government as the Secretary of the Commerce Cabinet and the Commissioner of State Parks, and spent 18 years as the president of H&W Management Co., Inc., a regional hotel development and management company. George also serves as chair of the LCHS Finance committee. George had a K-12 Catholic education in East Syracuse, NY.
Phil Osborne is the owner and CEO of Preston-Osborne Marketing Communications & Research. Phil and his wife Jennifer have four children – Matthew Osborne, Caelin Osborne Scott, Emily Arbegust (’07), and Anne Ward Arbegust (’11). A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Phil is serving his first term on the board.
Phil serves on the Executive Committee for Commerce Lexington as vice chairman of communications, as a board member for United Way of Kentucky, and PRIDE – an environmental clean-up initiative in Southern and Eastern Kentucky.
He has been honored with the PRSA Thoroughbred Chapter’s Lifetime Achievement/Hall of Fame award in 2009, the 2010 Commerce Lexington Volunteer of the Year, and was also recognized recently as a Friend of the College of Communications at the University of Kentucky. He has been an adjunct professor at both Transylvania and the University of Kentucky.
