4/12/08 Tates Creek Invitational
This past weekend the Lexington
Catholic Track and Field Team participate in the Tates Creek
Invitational.
The following atheletes had
outstanding performance.
Thomas Canary 1:59.7 in the 800
meter dash. (2nd & broke the meet record)
Alley Jansen 19.6 in the 100
meter hurdles (a personal record by over a second)
Miarah Shelton 14.2 in the 100
meter dash ( a personal record by a second)
The 4 x 800 relay improved the
relay time by seventeen seconds from 10:21 to 10:04. (Chris Haffler, Mark
Rudy, Shane Metzger, Ryan Edelen)
Shawn McClure finished 6th
place, scoring 6 points for the team
March Update
Thomas Canary has finished 1st
in the 800 and mile in our two outdoor meet. His PR times in each are
2.00-800 meters and 4:35 in the mile. Won the mile and 800 at the
Mason County Indoor Meet.
Winston Guy won the 100 meter
dash with a time of 11.2 (Western Hills All-comers track meet).
Logan Horrall has a time of 5:22
in the mile and 2:23 in the half.
Chris Haffler has a time of 5:13
in the mile and 2:18 in the half mile
K.H. Kim has long jumped
17'0" and triple jumped 35'0"
Clark LePrelle- injured, but has
run a 56.00 400 meter dash indoors and finished 9th in the 55 meter dash at
Mason County Indoor Meet
Sean McCure has won 1st place
three times (Mason Indoor, Western Hills, and Grant County). His best
throw for the year in the shot put is 44'11".
Shane Metzer has improved his
mile time 21 seconds from 6:20 to 5:59.
Lin Millet has cleared
5'10" this year and finished 2nd at the Mason County Indoor meet
Greg Raglin finished 5th in the
55 meter dash at the Mason Indoor meet and ran a time of 55.8 in the 4 x 400
relay.
Kyle Vasilko has run 400 in 56.1
and finish 12 out 60 runners in the 55 meter dash at the Mason County Indoor
meet.
Alley Jansen has done well in
both hurdle events with times of 21 and 58 seconds for fourth place finishes.
Mary Stewart Montique has done
very well in the hurdles too, with times of 20.9 and 57.8 in the hurdles with
3rd place finishes. She is also progressing well in the 800 meter dash.
LeAnne Little is doing a super
job in the 800, mile, and relay events. She a PR of 5:50 in the mile.
Erin Gehlhausen is doing super
job with relay events and the triple jump. She helped the team with 3rd
and 5th place finishes at the two outdoor meets.
Beth Rowland is improving nicely
in the mile. Her best time is 7:10.
Mariah Shelton is helping the
team in relays and individual sprints. She has improved her 200 time 2
seconds from 33 to .31.
Jennifer Greb has run 6:14 in
the mile.
Jessica Collova has worked hard
to improve her speed in 100, 200, 400, and 800. Her best time in the 200
is 33.6.
Sophie Jamaldin has improved her
mile time by 15 seconds from 7:40 to 7:25.
Christa Hurak finished in the
top 8 in the triple jump at the Mason County Indoor meet and has run the 400 in
1:11.
Allison Deletter has done well
in the 400 and 200. She has run times of 1:12 and 31.8 respectively.
Mark Rudy has improved his time
10 seconds in the mile from 6:08 to 5:58.
