Welcome to LCHS Golf 2010!!!
Coach: John - Gordon Beckett - jgsb007@hotmail.com John-Gordon Beckett takes over the Lexington Catholic golf program in 2010. He brings a wealth of experience to the program and is looking forward to working with the boys and building a competitive program to challenge in both the region and state every year. Experience: John played high school golf in Ashville, NC, graduating in 1997. He was All-Conference 4 years and 3 time conference champion. He never lost a match his senior year. He won numerous junior titles in North Carolina, a state well known for its junior program. This play earned John a golf scholarship to the University of Kentucky in 1997. John lettered his next 4 years and garnered Academic All-SEC honors his last 3 years. John was one of the early building blocks in the turnaround of the UK golf program and played with JB Holmes his senior year. After competing in one of the toughest conferences in the country John decided to turn pro in 2002. He played the Tarheel tour for the next 2 years. John is now a Class A PGA Professional and the assistant pro at Champion Trace Golf Club. He is also a TPI certified golf fitness instructor and still plays competitive golf, recently competing in the Kentucky Open. Tom Brieske Tom Brieske will be assistant varsity coach. Tom comes over after helping with the girls program the last 4 years. Last year the girls finished 5^th in the region which was the best finish in 8 years and a sign the program is moving in the right direction. Tom will be helping with the freshman and sophomores on their short game and putting. Tom is a member of Champions Trace golf club and is looking forward to working with John. Tom is married and has 2 children, Devin and Chase.
