Thursdays 4:00-5:00 at the Things you need to turn in to participate: Personal Information Sheet,
Two Teacher/Coach Recommendation Sheets,
KHSAA Sports Physical Form and $35
payment to LCHS for the yearly Athletic Insurance Fee. You will receive a copy of the Team
Rules on the first day of clinics.
These rules must be read by both the athlete and the parents before
trying out for the team. TEAM REQUIREMENTS: If attendance allows, there will be two teams chosen
from this years tryouts. The BLACK
TEAM will cheer for Varsity Football, Boys Basketball and will travel and
compete. The BLUE TEAM will cheer
for Soccer and Girls Basketball and will focus on building the individual
skills necessary to advance to the Black Team. There will be no tumbling skills
required for the Blue Team. If
attendance is not large enough to support two teams, only the Black Team will
be chosen and Girls Basketball games will be added to their games. The Black Team tumbling
requirements are a minimum of a standing back handspring and round off back
handspring on the basketball floor along with any sort of skill that includes
a tuck on the cheerleading mat. The LCHS Fight Song and a
cheer will be taught during clinics.
You will also be asked to show a variety of jumps and your ability to
lead a crowd. Required Summer Camp: UCA Summer Cheer Camp July 15 – 18 $290 per cheerleader due May 19th
Mandatory Parent Meeting: Monday May 19th 7:00pn LCHS
Cafeteria Practices will be held 2-3 times
each week throughout the entire season with one being a tumbling class Competitions
for Black Team Only: Our season will begin in
Oct./Nov. and we will attend
Jamfest Nationals Jan. 16 -18 in FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
INCLUDE participation in
fundraising, yearly team activity fee, camp and competition fees and travel
and team practice wear and gear expenses. 2007 Sweet Sixteen
2007 – 2008 State Bid!
Congratulations
to the girls, who in their first varsity competition on January 4th,
were Jamfest LIVE! Super Large Varsity
Champions! They also received
the “Showstopper Routine” Award, and Kyrie Cloud received the
“Celebrity Standout” Award! There
are two more competitions this month.

Lexington Catholic Varsity Cheerleader
has a great tradition of excellence both on and off the field, court and
competition floor! Tryouts for the team are held each May with the
season ending in March. Besides supporting the awesome sports at
Lexington Catholic the Varsity Cheerleaders attend 2-3 competitions each
season including KAPOS and the Jamfest Events! If you are
