Head Coach Jeff Hans & Staff

 

Hans

Head Coach Jeff Hans is entering his second season as the head coach of Lexington Catholic.  Coach Hans led the Lady Knights to a 30-4 record in 2006-07.  The Lady Knights finished as 11th Region Runner-Up, 2006 5/3rd Bank Champions, and Runner-up in the 2006 Greene County Bank Classic.  He was named as the successor to Greg Todd on June 12, 2006.  Coach Hans comes to Lexington Catholic from Saint Henry High School in Erlanger, Kentucky.  In only two seasons at Saint Henry,  he turned around a program that averaged less than 9 wins per season in the five years prior to his arrival.  In 2005-06, Coach Hans led the Crusaders to a 21-8 record and the 33rd District Championship over eventual region champion Boone County.  Prior to his stint at Saint Henry, Coach Hans was an assistant coach at Indiana State University for two seasons, a graduate assistant coach at Northern Kentucky University for one season, and an assistant coach at Wilmington College for two seasons.

 

Coach Hans and his wife, Stacee have two children: Kailynn (3) and Keira (born June 8, 2007).

 

Tony

 

Tony Talbott is entering his twelfth season at Lexington Catholic.  He currently serves as the Associate Head Coach for the Lady Knights and as the AAU Head Coach for summer play.  He has helped lead Lexington Catholic to four State Championships (1999, 2001, 2005, 2006), two State Runner-up finishes (2003, 2004), and seven regional championships (1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006).  Tony also coaches baseball for Lexington Catholic and was a member of the 1999 & 2006 State Championship baseball teams. 

 

Tony and his wife, Monica, have three children: Sara (22); William (14); and Michael (11).

 

 

Jenny Pfeiffer is entering her first season at Lexington Catholic.  She was an All State player at North Vernon High School in Indiana.  She finished her high school career with xxxx points and during her senior season was a runner up in the race for Indiana Ms. Basketball.  She just completed her playing career at University of Kentucky.

  

Dick

 

Dick Bass is entering his sixth season as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Lady Knights.  Over the past four seasons, Lexington Catholic’s strength and conditioning level during the season has been unmatched.  Over that time span, the Lady Knights have competed in the Kentucky State Championship game every season and captured the 2005 & 2006 Kentucky State Championships.

 

Pam

 

Pam Switzer is in entering her fifth season as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Lady Knights.  Over the past three seasons, Lexington Catholic’s strength and conditioning level during the season has been unmatched.  Over that time span, the Lady Knights have competed in the Kentucky State Championship game every season and captured the 2005 & 2006 Kentucky State Championships.

 

 

Lisa Gadberry is entering her first season as the head coach of the Lexington Catholic freshman team.  Coach Gadberry emphasizes on individual fundamental improvement at the freshman level.  She also serves as the 6th and 7th grade coach for the Lexington Catholic Middle School program.

Gary

 

Gary Long is a long-time member of the Lady Knights staff as a computerized statistician. He has worked numerous high-profile events including the KHSAA Boys Sweet Sixteen State Basketball Tournament, KHSAA Girls Sweet Sixteen State Basketball Tournament, Fifth Third Bank Classic, Adolph Rupp Classic, Kentucky-Indiana All-Star series, University of Kentucky home basketball games, and Eastern Kentucky University home basketball games. 

 

Glenn

 

Glenn Gentry is a long-time member of the Lady Knights staff as a computerized statistician. He has worked numerous high-profile events including the KHSAA Boys Sweet Sixteen State Basketball Tournament, KHSAA Girls Sweet Sixteen State Basketball Tournament, Fifth Third Bank Classic, Adolph Rupp Classic, Kentucky-Indiana All-Star series, University of Kentucky home basketball games, and Eastern Kentucky University home basketball games. 

 

Barb

 

Barb Winters is entering her fifteenth season as the athletic trainer of Lexington Catholic.  She has been the team's certified athletic trainer for the all seven of the program's trips to the Sweet Sixteen State Basketball Tournament including the state championship seasons of 1999, 2001, 2005, and 2006.
