seventh Class AA title. Sophomore Cappie Pondexter averaged 18.1 points and 6.9 rebounds. Kourtney Walton averaged 16.6 points and 9.0 rebounds
and Kimya Murray 16.6 points.
3. Mason, Ohio (26-1)
Last week: 3. Recap: Was Division I runner-up, splitting two
games with No. 1 Pickerington. Dallas Williams averaged 17.5 points and 8.0
rebounds. Sophomore Michelle Munoz averaged 15.7 points and 7.7 rebounds.
4. Copperas Cove,
Texas (34-2)
Last week: 4. Recap: Won Santa Barbara (Calif.) Tournament of Champions and
school-record 34 games. Junior Shereka Wright
averaged 26.4 points and 8.5 rebounds. Shaquanda Thompson
averaged 12.9 points.
5. Butler, Huntsville, Ala.

Last week: 5. Recap: Won third consecutive Class 6A title and
made national-record 301 three-point baskets. Linda Holt was named Women's
Basketball Coaches Association national coach of the year. Tasheika Morris averaged 21.8 points and 12.9 rebounds.
Nikki Tibbs averaged 21.4 points and made
national-record 154 three-point baskets.
6. West Springfield, Springfield,
Va. (30-0)
Last week: 6. Recap: Won second Group AAA title in three
years. Kara Lawson averaged 25.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 4.4
steals, setting career records in each category. Lawson was named Naismith national player of the year.
7. Mansfield,
Texas (38-0)
Last week: 7. Recap: Won first Class 5A title with school-record
38 victories. Other school records were set by sophomore Tori Wilson (300 rebounds for a 7.9 average) and
freshman Erin Grant (220 assists for a 5.8 average).
8. Mountain View, Orem, Utah

Last week: 8. Recap: Won last 17 games and fourth consecutive
Class 5A title. Erin Thorn averaged 18.2 points, 10.5 assists, 8.0
rebounds, 6.8 steals and 2.1 blocks. Heather Cheesman
averaged 16.9 points, 12.2 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 4.0 blocks while
shooting 67% from the field.
9. Archbishop Mitty, San Jose, Calif.

Last week: 9. Recap: Won first Division I title as junior Rometra Craig averaged 21.3 points and 11.1 rebounds.
Junior Aimee Grzyb averaged 15.1 points and 3.4
assists.

Champions titles. Kennitra Johnson averaged 20
points, 6.4 assists, 5.9 steals and 4.2 rebounds. Johnson set school career
records with 1,837 points, 570 assists and 508 steals and with a 47-point
game.

title. Kendra Ramsey averaged 15.6 points, 5.5 assists and 4.6 steals.
Natalie Brown averaged 15.1 points and 4.3 steals.

Last week: 14. Recap: Won fifth Class 5A title as 6-7 Lindsay
Taylor averaged 18.9 points and 10.1 rebounds. Taylor set school records with 86 blocks,
127 free throws and 58% field goal shooting. The team set a state record
with 179 blocks.

Last week: 15. Recap: Won last 19 games and second Class 4A
title. Junior Megan Nelson averaged 15.3 points. Wendy Gabbe
averaged 14.5 points.
16. Brea Olinda, Brea, Calif.

Last week: 16. Recap: Won last 23 games and seventh Division
II title. Junior Chelsea Trotter averaged 19.6 points, 10.8 rebounds and
2.7 steals. Lindsey Davidson averaged 14.6 points, 6.2 assists and 3.1
steals.

Last week: 17. Update: Winning streak is at 18 with a 63-51
victory vs. Shenendehowa (Clifton Park)
for 10th consecutive New York State Federation Class A title. MVP Clare Droesch had 29 points and 11 rebounds. Toni Roker had 16 points and Jessica Burch had five steals.

9.6 rebounds for first-time Class 4A champion. Junior Tracy Alston averaged

and 351 assists.

Last week: 24. Recap: Amanda Buchholz averaged 21.7 points,
8.1 steals and 6.8 assists for first-time Class B champion. Junior Lindsay
Coleman averaged 17.3 points.
25. McDonogh, Owings Mills, Md.

Last week: 25. Recap: Won last 43 games and Association of
Independent Schools playoff title. Vicki Brick averaged 23.3 points, 6.2
steals, 5.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists, setting school career record with
1,950 points.
DROPPED OUT: No. 22 Council Rock (Newtown, Pa.)
(30-2) lost to Cheltenham (Wyncote) 62-54
in Class AAAA state semifinals.
