Sandy led us in prayer.

Future events:

Phonathon – Sandy reported that the students had been very successful so far with their phone calls.  Sandy had Alumni scheduled for Wednesday night and, because they were running out of alumni to call due to the students doing such a good job last week, they cancelled Thursday night’s Alumni session.

Career Day – January 10, 2008.  Susie reported that most of the speakers had been determined.  There were a few categories that needed filling and Council members volunteered several names for her to contact.  Susie, Kerry and Kathleen think this will, once again, be a very successful event.

Hall of Fame Game – rescheduled to January 18th, 2008, which is the Winter Homecoming.  Pam reported that she has received preliminary resumes from the inductees but needs a bit more information from both of them.  There is a chance that the game will be played at Memorial Coliseum because high attendance is expected with Mason County playing LCH.  Location and times TBA at a later date.

Mid-Knight Stakes – February 2nd, 2008 – Pam reported that because it’s the 25th year of this event, there were going to be a few changes in the program.  A band, “Caught Red Handed”, has been booked.   The theme is “Our Knight to Shine – Celebrating 25 Years!”. And, while the Alumni Council is not directly involved in the chairing of this event, Alumni are always needed as volunteers and Debbie Schnurr will once again be in charge of that coordination.

Alumni Lunch – Tuesday, February 5th 2008 – Fat Tuesday.  Where to meet???  Come to the next meeting at Winchell’s to see if it would be a good place and/or with some suggestions.

With nothing further to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.

We’ve set the date for the next Council meeting for Monday, December 10th at 6 PM.  With the holidays upon us, the Council members present at last nights meeting decided to have our next meeting at Winchell’s on Southland Drive, where we can have drinks and appetizers.

See you there…

Until then, blessings to all.
