Equine Academy at Lexington Catholic

Lexington Catholic High School is pleased to announce the Director of the Equine Academy, Sarah Coleman. An avid equestrian, Sarah grew up in northeastern Ohio and graduated from the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, in 2002. She comes to the Equine Academy at Lexington Catholic after being the Director of the Equine Scholars Program at Georgetown College for four years and working as a managing editor for multiple equine and farming-related publications based in Lexington. She currently shows her off-the-track Thoroughbred, Bayou Brass, in the 3-foot hunter division. Sarah will officially begin her position June 1st

"I am very excited to begin working with the Equine Academy students and to start exploring our partnerships with both the Georgetown College Equine Scholars Program and the UK Ag Equine Program. The outpouring of support for this initiative has been exponential and the people seated on the Advisory Board are some of the best the equine industry has to offer. I am very eager to help this program develop within the already dynamic framework that is Lexington Catholic and I look forward to helping students gain a better understanding of not only the equine industry, but also of everything the Horse Capital of the World has to offer." – Sarah Coleman
