The above students are Knights in Shining Armor because of their acceptance into the Deauville Sister Cities Exchange Program in France the summer of 2010.  The students were required to apply and interview.  Students were chosen based on their ability to adapt and accept new/strange environments and situations, but they are also judged and accepted based on the portion of their interview conducted in French.  This interview is done by a panel of local college and high school French teachers who pick their brains for their abilities to think under pressure and communicate in awkward scenarios.  All three students were accepted and, in turn, hosted one or two French students here in Kentucky this summer after spending 3 weeks totally immersed in France.  It’s a big honor to be selected and these students were among the top 5 rated students.
