July Minutes
Present:

Tom opened up the meeting with a discussion about suggestions for new members to the Council. Several names were mentioned and members agreed to contact those people to see if they would be interested in joining the Council and also to invite them to attend the General Alumni Association meeting to be held Tuesday, August 28th in the cafeteria at LCH. The meeting will begin at 6:00 and we’ll have snacks and beverages. Tom (outgoing President) and Todd (incoming President) will lead the meeting and discuss responsibilities for Council members and upcoming events. Come help make a difference and support your alma mater…..
Bob Mitchell formally announced his decision to step down as a Council member and the Council voted to accepted Susie Morton’s decision to remain as Secretary for the Council.
Trinity tailgate get together – scheduled for Friday, August 17th at BW3’s in Louisville. Pam will send out postcards to all alumni in the Louisville area as a reminder. The fun begins at 5:30.
Alumni Lunch – Tuesday, August 21st at Malone’s banquet room located upstairs at Sal’s restaurant in Lansdowne Shopping Center. Gathering time will be 11:30 and cost will vary depending on your selection, but plan on between $12.99 and $14.99. Come relax, enjoy a great meal and catch up with other alumni.
Hall of Fame - Gridiron Classic – tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 7th. The Alumni Council will sponsor a reception before the big game. The reception will be held in the library and commences at 6 PM. The Alumni Council reviewed the nominations for induction into the Hall of Fame. They voted on their selections and, pending notification of the inductees, the names will be released to the general public.
A motion was made to send a letter or postcard inviting all football alumni to the Gridiron Classic. Motion carried.
With nothing further to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
