Academic Awards Banquet and Honors Day Mass and Ceremony
The Academic Awards Banquet will be held Wednesday, May 14th, at the Holiday Inn on Newtown Pike.  This event is by invitation only.  Registration is at 6:15pm, followed by dinner at 6:45 and the program begins at 7:30pm. 
The Honors Day Mass and Ceremony will be held (for students only) at Mary Queen on Thursday, May 15th, during the school day.  Seniors should be in "Sunday Best" attire for Honors Day.  See "Notes from the Principal" below for more information.
 
Organizational Meeting for Golf Teams
There will be an organizational meeting for both the boys' and girls' golf teams on Thursday, May 15th at 7pm in the Library.  Both player and parent should attend.  The teams' annual golf fundraiser will be June 14th at Connemara Golf Course.
 
Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation Ceremony
The Class of 2008 Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 18th at 10:00am in the LCHS Bueter Gymnasium.  See "Notes from the Principal" below for info concerning proper dress and guidelines for the ceremony.

Lexington Horsemen to Honor LCHS Football State Champs
The LCHS 2007 4A State Championship football team, cheerleaders, and dance team will be honored by the Lexington Horsemen at their home game on Sunday May 25th at 4:00pm.  All Lexington Catholic players, cheerleaders and dancers are welcome, as well as family, friends, faculty, staff and supporters. Ticket cost is $8 and this is a group rate. Please email Coach Kevin Bruggeman (kbruggeman@lexingtoncatholic.com) to order your tickets and set up payment arrangements with him.  To get this rate, you must go through Coach Bruggeman. Show your LCHS support at the Horsemen game on May 25th at 4:00pm!
 
Workshop with Laura Bell Bundy!
Laura Bell Bundy (LCHS class of ’99) better known as “Elle Woods” from the hit Broadway show, Legally Blonde, will be hosting a workshop at Lexington Catholic this summer!  Click on the “Take It From The Top” logo to register. Lexington Catholic students must contact Mr. West to sign up.
 
Turf Renovation Project
The Joseph K. Ford Stadium turf is nearing the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced.  Along with the turf, many of the outdoor facilities need to be improved.  We need your help!  For more information, please contact David Hardin: dhardin@lexingtoncatholic.com or Kitty Craycraft: kcraycraft@lexingtoncatholic.com.

Summer Service Opportunities

Summer is an ideal time help out in the community and beyond.  Attend Live Out Loud or the Appalachian Mission Trip and complete service requirements before school begins in August!

Parent Opinion Survey
The members of the School Performance Committee would like to thank all the parents that responded to the parent survey and let you know that we value your opinion.  The data collected is presented in the Survey Results and will be used as a tool to improve the overall school performance.  If you didn’t respond, we will initiate another parent survey at the end of each school year.  If you have any questions concerning the results, please email Patrick Heintz at pheintz@lexingtoncatholic.com.
