Gift Gathering Parties

A Short but Distinctive History of
Gift Gathering Parties

Gift Gathering Parties were viewed by the founders of Lexington Catholic High School Mid-Knight Stakes Dinner auction as a way to personalize the Silent Auction portion of the evening.  Parents and friends were invited to donate items specially purchased for the occasion that would then be bid on and purchased by attendees the night of Mid-Knight Stakes.

Today, that tradition is as sound as ever.  As in the past, retail value on each gift is suggested to be approximately $50.00.  Most gifts are items of general interest or highly specialized items that might precipitate significant bidding.  It is not unusual for a Gift Gathering Party to generate one or more gifts of such unusual value or distinctiveness that they are bid on in the Live Auction portion of

Mid-Knight Stakes.

Cash contributions may be made in lieu of gifts.  Contributions will be used to purchase additional items for the auction.
