Following the Message

May 11 – Pentecost

Gospel – John 7:37-39 (Vigil); John 20:19-23

Question: When have I felt comforted, strengthened, or guided by the Holy Spirit?

Alternate Question for Kids: When has praying about something helped me to feel better?

The Catechism deepens our understanding of what it means for us to “become the temple of the Holy Spirit. This Spirit of the Son teaches [us] to pray to the Father and… prompts [us] to act so as to bear the fruit of the Spirit by charity in action. Healing the wounds of sin, the Holy Spirit renews us interiorly through a spiritual transformation. He enlightens and strengthens us to live as children of light through all that is good and right and true” (paragraph 1695). May we strive to be attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Tune in to Real Life Radio (1380 AM) each Monday at 3:10 p.m. for Leo Brown’s discussion of the weekly question on his “Diocese Live!” program. The live broadcast is also accessible at www.realliferadio.net.
