Annual Keeneland Outing - April 23, 2010
The most recent Keeneland outing was held on Friday, April 24th from 11:00 – 1:00 PM. The weather was picture perfect and it was a great day! Many alumni, parents and friends stopped by. Dave Schnurr cooked up and donated his Schnurrgoo, which is his special recipe for burgoo. He was serving it up from his kettle! The Alumni Council provided the rest of the refreshments and beverages. The Class of ’93 kicked off their reunion week-end with the tailgating. It was a wonderful gathering of friends of LCHS and we hope to see even more of you all next year! Click here for pictures.
Career Day
Career Day was held on Friday, September 18, 2009, for the LCHS Junior and Senior classes. The juniors and seniors chose 3 different careers to hear about and the speakers make their presentations with time for questions and answers during 30 minute sessions. We had an impressive list of speakers for Career Day 2009 who shared with our students the path they took to get to their career, what a daily schedule is like, their financial earnings, etc. Click here for pictures and details from September, 18, 2009. Hall of Fame
The Lexington Catholic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is held every three years, with the most recent on January 18, 2008. Click here for pictures and information from the 2008 induction. Candidates for the LCHS Hall of Fame should meet the following qualifications: His/Her class must have been graduated ten years, Nominees must have been outstanding in one or more sports, while attending LCHS, and as a non-player, such as a coach, trainer, chaplain, donor or other, the nominee must have made outstanding contributions to LCHS athletics (does not have to be a LCHS graduate). Hoagies - September 2010
Hoagies is the 2nd largest fundraiser for the school. Although the day starts early (5:45am), it is always a fun-filled morning and a great way to meet and see other parents at school. Mid-Knight Stakes – Feb 6, 2010
Mid-Knight Stakes is Lexington Catholic’s largest fundraiser of the year. Click here for 2010 MKS information. This event has numerous committees and new committee chairs are needed! Help is always needed for Procurement (business solicitation- silent auction items), Silent Auction Set-up, Gift Gathering Parties, or Live Auction Solicitation. Everyone is welcome!
Phonathon
The annual Phonathons benefit the Annual Fund and funds are allocated to the general operating budget of the school. Students or Alumni make the calls, so consider LCHS in your annual giving if you get a phone call!
Principal's Cup - May 17, 2010
The 9th annual golf outing to benefit the tuition assistance program at Lexington Catholic was held at Spring Valley Golf Club on May 11, 2009. Lunch was at noon, with a scramble start at 1:00PM. Hole-in-one was provided by Glenn Auto Mall (Buick Enclave). Click here for details and pictures from the 2009 tournament. Sponsorships are now available for the 2010 tournament. Spring Fling
Spring Fling 2009 was held on May 9...Click here for pictures. Alumni, Parents, Friends, and Supporters of LCHS (21 and over) were invited to dance the night away with the band, “Swing Street” in the LCHS Bueter Gymnasium. Tickets included music, open bar and snacks. Spring Fling is a great time and an event not to be missed! Stay tuned for the 2010 date. Spring Fling 2008 was held on April 26.
