Events

The 3rd Annual Alumni Keeneland Outing will be held Friday, April 25th, 2008, 11:00AM - 1:00PM.  Come to the old main entrance and look to the left.  You'll see our blue tent and balloons.  Stop by for some food and beverages on your way into Keeneland. It's a great way to catch up with old friends at the race track and provides a fabulous kick-off for a reunion weekend. The event will be held yearly the Friday before the annual Spring Fling.

Career Day is held every other year at Lexington Catholic and is scheduled again for 2008. Our alumnivolunteer to speak about their respective careersand then each junior and senior signs up in homeroom for their top four career choices. The Key Club helps with the schedules that each student will receive. Every speaker is an Alumni and will present their college choice, degree(s), path to their chosen profession, insight into what they do on a daily basis, salary expectations, etc. Every Alumni will do a 20-25 minute presentation allowing for questions and answers during that time. It is a wonderful way for our Alumni to give back to their school and to help our juniors and seniors start thinking about their life after Lexington Catholic. The Lexington Catholic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Friday, January 18, 2008. The most recent induction took place in 2005 (Click here for 2005 Induction). Candidates should meet the following qualifications: His/Her class must have been graduated ten years, Nominees must have been outstanding in one or more sports, while attending LCHS, and as a non-player, such as a coach, trainer, chaplain, donor or other, the nominee must have made outstanding contributions to LCHS athletics (does not have to be a LCHS graduate).  Click here for a nomination form.  For a full list of Hall of Fame members, click here.

Hoagies is the 2nd largest fundraiser for the school. Although the day starts early (5:45am), it is always a fun-filled morning and a great way to meet and see other parents at school. Workers are needed to make phone calls to sign up and confirm workers for all shifts; prep week work begins the Monday prior to the event and the schedule for parents volunteers is as follows: Mon (Freshmen), Tues (Soph), Wed (Jr), Thurs. (Sr.) From 2-5pm or 6-8:30p.m.; Work Hoagie morning beginning at 5:45 am on Saturday. We are usually finished by 9:30 a.m. Click here for September 30, 2007 details!

Each year we recognize individuals who give to the Annual Fund in the amount of $1,000 or more. This year’s dinner was held September 18th at Malone’s Banquets. Invitations are mailed for this special event.

Mid-Knight Stakes is Lexington Catholic’s largest fundraiser of the year. This event has numerous committees; everybody is welcome and needed! Work has already begun for next year's event on Feb. 7, 2009. Committees of interest are Procurement (business solicitation- silent auction items), Silent Auction Set-up, Gift Gathering Parties, Hosting a Gift Gathering Party, or Live Auction Solicitation.  Click here for information on MKS 2008!

The annual Phonathons benefit the Annual Fund and are allocated to the general operating budget of the school. Students or Alumni make the calls, so consider LCHS in your annual giving if you get a phone call!

Principal's Cup - May 12, 2008
The Principal's Cup is an annual golf outing for alumni and friends of Lexington Catholic High School held at Spring Valley Golf Club on Sandersville Road. The next outing will be Monday, May 12, 2008. All proceeds from the event benefit the tuition assistance program at Lexington Catholic. Spring Fling - April 26, 2008
This is our annual THANK YOU TO THE ENTIRE LEXINGTON CATHOLIC COMMUNITY for all their hard work throughout the year! The next Spring Fling is scheduled for April 26, 2008. For a minimal ticket cost, guests enjoy snacks, an open bar, and live music.
