St. Bonaventure:
St Bonaventure was an Italian medieval scholastic theologian and philosopher, the seventh Minister General of the Order of Friars Minor. He was a Cardinal Bishop of Albano. He was canonized on 14 April 1482 by Pope Sixtus IV and declared a Doctor of the Church in the year 1588 by Pope Sixtus V. He was a good friend of St. Thomas Aquinas and King Saint Louis IX. He is known as the “Seraphic Doctor.”

The Crest:
The St. Bonaventure house crest includes angel wings, representing St. Bonaventure’s nickname as the “Seraphic Doctor,” and the Tau Cross, the symbol of the Seraphic Order of St. Francis, of which Bonaventure was a member. Our house colors are crimson and white.

Kira Davison has taught in the English Department teaching Junior British Literature for six years. Kira is also the Junior Class sponsor and helps Junior Student Council members plan the fall Sadie’s Dance and the Spring Prom. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary English Education from the University of Kentucky and her Master’s Degree in Secondary English Education from Georgetown College. Kira enjoys working with the theater department helping with costumes for play productions. In her spare time at home, she is fond of reading, baking, and watching UK sports, and if you cannot find her at work, you can probably find her at Starbuck’s. She also enjoys filling the stereotypical role of unmarried English teacher with a fat cat.
