Our Lacrosse Knights defeated Kentucky Country Day Monday night 14 - 2 in the Division I State Quarterfinals. It is an all-Lexington semifinal as they take on Sayre at home at 8:00 pm on Wednesday in the Division I State Semifinals!
The Tennis team plays in the Regionals at the University of Kentucky this week! Advancing to the semifinals and playing on Wednesday starting at 4:30 pm (inside if rain): Samantha Maddox (singles), Ann Morris (singles), and Austin Akers (singles); then Zack Lewis and Ryne Least (doubles) and Caroline Kerrick and Audrey Akers (doubles). Good luck!
The Track and Field team did well at the Madison Central All-Comers Meet last week - Mary Stewart Montague placed 1st in the 400 and Greg Raglin placed 1st in the 100 meters. Also, Lin Millett placed first in the high jump and Oba Wilson ran a great 200 meter dash. They travel to the Bardstown Invitational on Friday. The Regionals are next Tuesday at Boyle County.
The Varsity Baseball team plays at home against South Oldham on Tuesday at 6:00 pm, against Trinity away on Wednesday, and at home versus Ballard on Thursday at 5:30 pm. Their Senior Night is Friday at 5:30 pm against Male; seniors honored will be Nick Maronde, Will Hicks, Michael Champa, Drew Dalton, John Boneau, Ken Riley, Ben Cloyd, and Ben Hume.
The Varsity Softball team has a game Tuesday at 7:30 pm against Frankfort. Their Senior Night is Thursday at home against Richmond Model at 5:30 pm. Seniors honored will be Sarah Appleman, Mercedes Davis, and Caitlin Medley. They play again Saturday at home in the LC Tri-Tourney: Allen County at 9:30 am and Presentation at 11:15 am.
Football Team Will Be Honored at Horsemen Game
The LCHS 2007 4A State Championship football team, cheerleaders, and dance team will be honored by the Lexington Horsemen at their home game on Sunday, May 25th. Ticket cost is $8 and this is a group rate. Please email Coach Kevin Bruggeman, kbruggeman@lexingtoncatholic.com, order your tickets and set up payment arrangements with him.
