Mr. Brandon Salsman, a 1992 LCHS graduate, is a Social Studies teacher and the Head Boys Basketball Coach. Coach Salsman’s teams have won the 11th region title four times (2008, 2009, 2011, and 2015). His 2008 team finished as a KHSAA Final Four Team. The Knights finished 2008 ranked in the nation by some publications. Coach Salsman has won over 70% of his games as head coach of Lexington Catholic Brandon has taught at LCHS for 20 years, teaching US History, World History, Kentucky Studies and American Government. Coach Salsman has also coached the Baseball team, Track team, and been the Director of the Intramural Sports teams. Mr. Salsman received his teaching certificate from the University of KY and participated in the CEO program through the KY Department of Education. He and his wife, Kate, have two daughters, Anne and Elizabeth, who attend SPPS.
