Katie Owen is currently in her 4th year as one of the Choir Directors at Lexington Catholic High School. She also leads two all-female a cappella groups, Midnight M’ Ladyes and Knight n’ Gals. Ms. Owen is a member of the Kentucky Music Educators Association and the American Choral Director’s Association.

Katie Owen is a native of Lexington. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Georgetown College, a Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Eastern Kentucky University. Ms. Owen has been a member of the Lexington Singers since 1999 and has served on the Board of Directors for the Lexington Singers as both a Trustee and most recently as President. She has traveled internationally with the Lexington Singers and has sung at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City and at St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice, Italy. Ms. Owen has performed locally in It’s a Grand Night for Singing with UK Opera Theatre, Hello, Dolly, The Sound of Music, and Gypsy with Paragon Music Theatre, and in Georgie Boy and A Christmas Carol with The REP.
