Todd Bretz will be Lexington Catholic's new Head Boys Soccer coach.  Bretz attended Lexington Catholic High School and won the state championship in his junior and senior year while also being selected First-Team All-State. He went on to play two seasons at Indiana Purdue University and was named MVP in his sophomore year. Bretz returned to Lexington to play for Transylvania University while earning All-Conference and All-Midwest honors.

For the past 34 years, Bretz has been coaching in the Lexington area for Kentucky Kickers, KY ODP, LFC, Bluegrass Bandits, and Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Sayre High School, and Lexington Sporting Club. Bretz has led multiple teams to state championships. He earned numerous Coach of the Year awards as well as nominations for National Coach of the Year in 2008. Currently, he holds the record for the winningest high school coach in Kentucky.

Coach Bretz is joined by his wife Christina, daughters Mary Elizabeth currently at Thomas More University, Olivia is a 2022 Lexington Catholic graduate currently playing at Central Michigan University and Bella a sophomore at Lexington Catholic.
